If you ask where the heart of Istanbul beats, I would definitely say Taksim. I could swear that the moment you step in, you can experience the city’s full vibrancy in Taksim. For me, Taksim is a place where historical and modern elements blend seamlessly, a spot where the energy never fades. I might have spent most of my youthful energy here, and between us, I’m still doing so.

Blending into the crowd of Istiklal Avenue is always an exciting experience for me. Crowd ? Yes, I’m talking about the kind where you can only move step by step! Don’t be surprised if you see people from every race here.

This vast square is located in the Beyoğlu district of Istanbul. Standing proudly in the center of the square is the Republic Monument, a masterpiece by the renowned sculptor Pietro Canonica. It commemorates the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Republic of Turkey in 1923, following the Turkish War of Independence.
